Frequently Asked:

What is Best Pathways for Growth?

BPG is a Saint Lucia-based people development and communications consultancy. We work with organisations and individuals across the corporate, government, faith-based, and community sectors to deliver leadership development, coaching, training design, and strategic communications services.

Who leads BPG?

BPG is founded and led by Sariah Best-Joseph, a people development practitioner and communications strategist with over 25 years of corporate and consulting experience. Sariah holds credentials in coaching (Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute (CAPP) which is an ICF-accredited institution, Neuroscience of coaching, and Maxwell Leadership. She previously served for 15 years as Divisional Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Massy Stores Saint Lucia.

What kinds of organisations does BPG work with?

BPG works with a wide range of organisations including private sector companies, state enterprises, government agencies, financial institutions, nonprofits, faith communities, and regional bodies. Clients have included Massy Stores Saint Lucia, Massy Learning Institute, Heineken Saint Lucia, Exel Signs, Royalton St. Lucia, St. Lucia Workers’ Credit Union, Soufriere Fond St. Jacques Credit Union, LUCELEC, SLSWMA, and Greening the Caribbean Inc., among others.

Does BPG offer off-the-shelf training programmes?

BPG’s preference is always to customise. A tailored engagement ensures the content is contextually appropriate, culturally relevant, and genuinely designed to produce behaviour change rather than just knowledge transfer. That said, we recognise that organisations sometimes need a proven, ready-to-deploy solution, and we are able to offer structured programmes from our existing content library where those better suits the client’s timeline or investment level. We are happy to discuss what approach best fits your situation.

Does BPG incorporate
psychological safety and emotional intelligence into its work?

Yes. BPG’s facilitation and
coaching practice is informed by Dr. Timothy Clark’s four-stage model of psychological safety, encompassing Inclusion Safety, Learner Safety,
Contributor Safety, and Challenger Safety, as well as broader research in this field. Psychological safety principles are woven into how we design learning
environments, facilitate group processes, and support leaders in building cultures where people can contribute fully.

Emotional intelligence is equally embedded in BPG’s practice. We recognise that self-awareness, self-regulation,
empathy, and relational skill are not soft add-ons to leadership development but foundational competencies that determine how effectively everything else
functions. EI principles are integrated across our coaching, facilitation, and programme design work.

Does BPG do coaching, or only
group training?

BPG offers both. We provide individual coaching and mentoring, group facilitation, large-cohort training delivery, and leadership retreats. Coaching engagements are structured around your goals and timeframe and are grounded in our proprietary methodologies as
well as neuroscience-informed practice.

Can BPG support succession
planning?

Yes. BPG has active experience in succession planning consultancy, including competency-based candidate assessments, 360-degree feedback processes, structured interviews, and case study facilitation.

Does BPG work on communications
projects?

Yes. BPG’s communications
practice covers strategic stakeholder engagement, content development and event communications. Our communications work draws on both consulting expertise and direct corporate experience at senior level. We currently serve as Communications and Stakeholder Lead for an IDB Lab-funded e-waste management project in Saint Lucia in partnership with SLSWMA.

Does BPG work regionally or only
in Saint Lucia?

While BPG is headquartered in Saint Lucia, our work extends across the Caribbean. We have facilitated programmes for regional cohorts and maintain mentoring relationships with organisations operating beyond the Caribbean, including Mothers Daughters Sisters,
a UK-based mentorship organisation.

How does an engagement with BPG
typically begin?

Most engagements begin with an exploratory conversation to understand your context, challenges, and goals. From there, BPG prepares a tailored proposal outlining scope, methodology, timelines, and investment. We do not issue generic quotes. Every proposal is specific to the client and the need.

What investment levels should we
expect?

Investment varies depending on scope, duration, cohort size, and the nature of the engagement. BPG structures proposals with tiered investment options where appropriate, to give clients flexibility. We are happy to discuss budget parameters during the initial conversation.

Is BPG registered?

Yes. Best Pathways for Growth is a registered consultancy operating in Saint Lucia.
